The One at University City

A new 20-story, 868 unit student housing condo that ranges from studios to four-bedroom options, located across the street from the north side of Florida International University’s main campus provides a 5-minute walk to class. The 1,244-bed residential tower will house students, faculty, and staff of the university. Designed to provide an urban lifestyle to student housing and differentiate from traditional on-campus dorms, the focus was centered on enhancing the students experience by designing an amenity-rich environment designed specifically to promote a social, urbanized atmosphere and meet the needs of the 21^st century. The amenities program includes a 6th floor, 29,600sf deck with a beach-entry swimming pool, pool volleyball, cabanas, trellis & bbq areas, large projection screen,  seating areas, a large green lawn surrounded by a lush all native, drought tolerant planting palette that provides for a space that aids human social interaction and promotes community. A landscaped 5,300sf terrace on the 13^th floor with panoramic views of the city is programmed with trellised seating areas, dining tables, and bbq’s for gathering and sharing. The project also includes multiple indoor shared study areas, a state-of-the-art fitness center, rooftop indoor sunset lounge, bike garage, 656 parking spaces, and 7,200 sf of retail space on the ground floor with a sidewalk cafe and convenience store.
